SAND SERIES BARCELONA. THE HIGHEST-CLASS ITF TOURNAMENT IN THE WORLD, IN OUR HOUSE

From May 26 to 28, Barcelona will host one of the major events on the world beach tennis circuit of the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Beach Tennis World Tour, Sand Series Barcelona 2022: the Barcelona Beach Tennis Club, Catalan Federation of Tennis and institutions, join efforts to host in the Vall Hebron Municipal Tennis Center, a Sand Series, considered the Grands Slams of Beach Tennis.

One more year the International City of Barcelona Beach Tennis Tournament (TICB) will be led by the Barcelona Beach Tennis Club which, in this 14th edition, joins efforts with the Catalan Tennis Federation, which has wanted to promote its firm commitment to beach tennis feel part of the project. In this way, in 2022 the Beach Tennis TICB takes an important leap by becoming a sand series and having an economic endowment of $35,000 in prizes, which makes it one of the most important in the world and guarantees the presence of the best players in the world ranking.

The tournament, which reaffirms the projection of Barcelona and Catalonia as venues for major international events and, especially, sand sports, will host nearly 250 male and female players from all over the world while also allowing Catalan beach tennis athletes can take part in one of the most important tournaments on the international scene. The Vall Hebron Municipal Tennis Center will be equipped with a large infrastructure to host the various events scheduled for the competition in the women's doubles, men's doubles, mixed and Under-18 categories, as well as to accommodate the entire public and citizens interested in meet and enjoy the great sports festival that we will live in Barcelona this May.

The Organization of the #SandSeriesBarcelona is possible thanks to the alliance of the Barcelona Club and the Federation with the Barcelona City Council, the General Secretariat of Sport and Physical Activity of the Government of Catalonia, the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation, as well as to tournament sponsors
